A script to warn you of nonfrens on the internet.
NOTE: I am neither responsible for, nor am I a maintainer of the @resource .json list.
This script is a complete re-write of the former tool.
Major improvements over the original extension:
- Iterates almost instantly (Up to 300x faster than the older extension)
- Works on mobile browsers which allow userscripts eg. Cromite
- Runs as a script in eg. Greasemonkey, Tampermonkey, Violentmonkey etc.
- Virtually undetectable by any website
- One-click option to enable/disable script on the website you are viewing
- Works in real-time with typing and page updates
- Only works on visible text to maximize performance
- Can be set up with any .json list you define as the @resource
- Does not iterate over the same match
- Includes common Latin dialectics eg. (À-ÖØ-öø-ÿ)
Instructions:
- Install
- Enable
- ???
- Profit
Optional:
- Replace the @resource URL with another/your own updated .json list
- Use @exclude eg. to exclude sites or pages you don't want the script to run on
Use cases:
- Have you been reading a news article hit piece on someone and want to know who is responsible for the article?
- Do you have a sneaking suspicion that a certain group is over-exercising their control over something?
- Want to know why a particular person seems to have an extreme agenda whenever they write online?
- Can’t find enough information why person has such a vocal problem with gun ownership?
- Would you like to know why a certain person was voted in as the CEO of a company?
This script might be able to help you detect such patterns.
NOTE: You are expected to improve this script yourself. It will only be updated if I feel like it, or it breaks. Learn to code.
