Works on the Kiwi browser or any mobile browser that lets you install user scripts and/or Tampermonkey.

You can customize your desktop and mobile devices' default resolution for YouTube videos.

Play the video once to apply your desired resolution.
*The default desktop resolution is 1080p.

*If the default desktop resolution you chose is unavailable for the video, the highest possible resolution will be used instead.
*The script applies the default resolution of 144p by default on mobile devices to save data.

To choose the default video resolution you want, STRICTLY follow these steps: (Click here)

1 On Tampermonkey go to dashboard -> settings -> general section -> config mode and enable advanced mode.
2 Install the script.
3 Open any YouTube video
4 Open the Tampermonkey dashboard
5 Click on the script name
6 Click on "Storage"
7 Replace hd1080/tiny with your desired desktop/mobile resolution.
8 Click on "Save"!


Video resolutions you can use.
"highres" = 8k
"hd2160" = 4k
"hd1440" = 2k
"hd1080"= 1080p
"hd720" = 720p
"large" = 480p
"medium" = 360p
"small" = 240p
"tiny" = 144p
