This script improves the guest browsing experience on the Facebook desktop site by removing login prompts and other visual interruptions.

Core Features

• Handles Login Prompts: Automatically closes or hides various login popups, overlays, and banners.
• Prevents Page Deadlocks: Opens media links (photos, videos, etc.) in a new tab. This bypasses the in-page media viewer, a common trigger for feed deadlocks, allowing for continuous scrolling.
• Guest UI Simplification (Optional): Hides non-functional UI elements for guests, such as "Like" and "Comment" buttons.
• Customizable: Provides a settings panel to toggle features, including a guest search bar, auto-unmute for videos, and post numbering.

Important: Limitations & Recommended Usage

This script works by closing or hiding on-page elements. It cannot bypass Facebook's server-side restrictions.

After extensive browsing, Facebook may enforce a "hard deadlock" by redirecting you to the login page or stopping new content from loading. This script cannot prevent this.

To manage this, it is strongly recommended to use this script in an environment that isolates your session, allowing you to easily reset it when a hard deadlock occurs:

• Firefox: Private Browsing window (or use with the Facebook Container extension).
• Chrome/Edge: Incognito Mode window.

When you encounter a hard deadlock, simply close the private/incognito tab and open a new one to start a fresh guest session.

How to Use

1. Install the script. It runs automatically when you browse Facebook while logged out.
2. To configure, access ⚙️ Settings from your UserScript manager's menu.

This script is for the DESKTOP SITE and GUEST (LOGGED-OUT) MODE only.
