This script blocks YouTube's animated thumbnail hover previews (animated WebP & video) while preserving progress bars, play buttons, and static thumbnails. Works on all pages: homepage, subscriptions, watch, search, channels, etc.

📥 Install:

• First time? Install Tampermonkey/Violentmonkey/Greasemonkey → Click Install this script → Hard refresh YouTube (Ctrl + F5/Cmd + Shift + R)
• Quick tip: On Safari/macOS, use Violentmonkey (Tampermonkey works but needs extra setup)

⚠️ Note:

• Brave users: If you see “An error occurred. Please try again later + Playback ID” while switching Theater Mode ↔ Fullscreen Mode → disable Shields just for youtube.com or use a different userscript manager (Violentmonkey/Tampermonkey work best)
  
• Hovering may still add videos to watch history due to YouTube server-side changes (late 2024) – pause watch history for full control
  
• Enable Developer Mode and Allow User Scripts (if available) in Extensions, otherwise the script won’t run

Script này chặn các thumbnail động khi hover trên YouTube (ảnh động WebP & video) đồng thời vẫn giữ thanh tiến trình, nút phát và các thumbnail tĩnh. Hoạt động trên tất cả các trang: trang chủ, đăng ký, xem, tìm kiếm, kênh, v.v.

📥 Cài đặt:

• Lần đầu? Cài Tampermonkey/Violentmonkey/Greasemonkey → Bấm Cài đặt script này → Làm mới hoàn toàn YouTube (Ctrl + F5/Cmd + Shift + R)
• Mẹo nhanh: Trên Safari/macOS, dùng Violentmonkey (Tampermonkey cũng được nhưng cần cài thêm một số thiết lập)

⚠️ Lưu ý:

• Người dùng Brave: Nếu bạn thấy “Đã xảy ra lỗi. Vui lòng thử lại sau + Mã lượt phát” khi chuyển đổi Chế độ rạp chiếu phim ↔ Chế độ toàn màn hình → tắt Shields chỉ cho youtube.com hoặc dùng trình quản lý userscript khác (Violentmonkey/Tampermonkey là tốt nhất)
• Di chuột vẫn có thể thêm video vào lịch sử xem do thay đổi phía server của YouTube (cuối 2024) – tạm dừng lịch sử xem để kiểm soát hoàn toàn
• Bật Chế độ nhà phát triển và Cho phép tập lệnh người dùng (nếu có) trong phần Tiện ích, nếu không script sẽ không chạy
