Some pages like Ikariam just overwrite the browser console. To be able to use the console in your script, there must be a copy stored somewhere else. The only functionality of this script is to store the window.console to window.debugConsole. Now you can either overwrite the normal console in your script again with the debug console or use the debugConsole instead.

But be aware, that everyone who has not installed this script has no debugConsole, so that the script might fail. Also it might be the case that some of the functions you use are not provided by the console they use.
