That's intentional, I did forget to hide the border though. Should be fixed.

Because it's visible everywhere? Homepage, Author pages, history, ... not only on watch pages.
You can still add videos to the queue, once you exit a playlist the queue will be visible again.

Or perhaps you shall display a message to let the user know it is a feature not a bug?
Otherwise users would receive the message "Video Added to Queue" but no queue shown

I checked that the queue shall be functional (add video to queue and go to other link without playlist), but not displayable.
Please fix.
