Dead SS's

So, I recently had about 10 or so sworn swords die after bruting, I had it set to go to 3 wounds and then stop, but still a few ended up dead. I've had one or two die before here and there, but nothing like this. Any idea what might have caused that?

I had that happen when I set it to 4 wounds, I had about 10. Sometimes they do receive 2 wounds in battle. So if they have 3 and end up getting 2 wounds then they die.

It hasn't happened in a few weeks, I leave it set to 3 wounds, have never seen one with 4 wounds so the 2 wound idea may be wrong.
