Feedback on Download Button Placement and Functionality (June 2025)

I'm using your Instagram download button script/extension, and while the core functionality is appreciated, I've noticed several placement and behavior inconsistencies depending on the context:

✅ Working Well

• Feed posts and post pages (/p/...): Button is placed correctly and functions as expected.
• Stories accessed directly from a user's profile: Button is correctly placed and works.

⚠️ Minor Issues

• Profile posts and profile reels (accessed by clicking thumbnails on a user's profile):
  • The button appears but is sometimes misplaced, occasionally showing in the middle of the page.
  • It still works, just looks visually inconsistent.

❌ Not Working or Misplaced

• Reels pages (/reel/...):

  • The button is always misplaced in the upper-left corner of the video.
  • It does not work when clicked.

• Stories accessed via:

  • Clicking profile picture from the feed
  • Clicking story ring at the top of the feed
  • → In both cases, the download button does not appear at all.

🔧 Suggestions

• Standardize button position vertically between Save and three-dot menu.
• Ensure visibility and functionality across all story entry points.
• Resize button to 20×20 pixels for consistency with Instagram's native UI.
