I can't remember the last time the script actually ran. I don't think it's actually working. I tried to use some of the previous versions instead and still nothing changed. The code seems to get a lot of syntax errors when looking at it in the editor.

Sometimes YouTube is updating their scripts so you might experience problems due to their update.

Yes. This script don't change anything visually. Everything will look almost the same.

You can find some debug logging in the DevTools console - showing that it is running.

This is not standard code. This code is for low-level engine changes, so it won’t ever look beautiful.

Tampermonkey shows an indication when a script is running. There is no indication your script is running.

I forgot to mention I'm using firefox browswer.

But now firefox updated yesterday/today and my live chat just completely stopped working even though I uninstalled your userscript. This is unrelated but I can't test anything now if I wanted.

If you have other userscripts or extensions, please disable them first.

If you are using MacOS, you can also use Zen which is better than Firefox.

Zen can run all Firefox extensions.

Yeah... I think I cannot help anything in this case.

You might also try to install Firefox Beta or Firefox Developer Edition.

My youtube live chat did randomly come back, so thankfully that was likely a YT issue with them breaking something or not being able to handle internet traffic on certain streams.

In regards to the issue:

I'm on a Windows 11 PC, not Mac.

I actually was on Firefox developer edition, and tried my regular firefox as well. I did disable my other scripts and other extensions, as well as clearing my cache on firefox. Same result, tampermonkey didn't show the script as running with live chat open.

I haven't tried a completely clean fix (new firefox profile with no extensions at all and base settings) but if there is a way to send you a log or something that might help you debug it I'll do it. Just let me know how to enable a log in tampermonkey and where to send it (as well as if there is anything I should exclude from the log for privacy).
