Track your favorite, finished, to-read and disliked fanfics on AO3 with sync across devices. Customizable tags and highlights make it easy to manage and spot your tracked works. Full UI customization on the preferences page.
Hey there!
Which script manager do you use in Safari? there were issues with some of the script managers for safari.
Try using tampermonkey instead: https://www.tampermonkey.net/index.php?browser=safari
After installing, reinstall fictracker again and things should work great.
As for 'add note' btn, default tags, custom tags etc - all of those settings are available in fictracker settings - on My Preferences ao3 page
after editing settings - don't forget to hit Save button at the bottom of the page
That explains some things, I guess. For me, notes default to being shown despite the setting not being turned on. I can also report that after checking the boxes for some options and hitting save, they simply don’t save and disappear after refreshing.
I’m using Userscripts (https://apps.apple.com/app/userscripts/id1463298887) since Tampermonkey is a paid app. The main functions run great, it just isn’t customisable in any way.
This is how the custom tags look for me:
Quick update. I tried using the Gear browser since that’s one of the suggestions of Greasy Fork for iOS. Settings work like a charm here (which, wow, what an upgrade).
For some reason, there’s no quick links from the drop down menu here. Can’t have everything, I guess :,)
Wow, that is really strange to be honest, dropdown links is the last feature I'd think could break xD
Unfortunately, I'm not iOS user myself, so can't test things out. You can try other available options for script managers. They are mostly the same, though there are slight API differences
Tried a bunch of free ones for Safari, but the settings are broken in all of them in the same way :/ They’re fine for very basic functionality, though.
I guess Gear browser is the best free solution for now. I’d consider having to click a few filters in the bookmarks to be a very minor inconvenience.
If you ever need user feedback for iOS, I’d be happy to provide it however I can! Thanks for writing a great script :D
I've just started using the script, I looks really cool so far and I'm really glad it relies on bookmarks rather than local memory! I just wanted to ask if there is a secret to creating custom tags? I've tried doing that in preferences on both mobile and desktop (Safari for me), but the Add Tag button doesn't seem to do anything? I tried filling in the fields, saving, refreshing, marking different tag settings, but I can't figure it out.
As for suggestions, would it be possible to add a setting to disable the option to add notes and/or certain default tracking tags? It could be useful for people who don't need everything.
